1. Tell me a little bit about you and your pet. How long have you had your pet? What breed are they? What is their name? Is there anything special that you would like me to know about you and your pet?

2. Please upload 1-3 photos of your pet that you would like me to potentially use for your portrait. I will create a rough digital sketch based off of these photos.

3. Are there any special markings or details on your pet that you want me to be aware of? For example, my kitty Toby has two dots on either side of his nose and long hair tuffs on the top of his ears. Its these little details that make a portrait special.

4. I paint on gesso board, and not canvas. What type of board would you like? Flat or a Cradled board at 3/4 inch, 1.5 inch, or 2 inch? Note: Flat is perfect if you are planning on framing your painting. 3/4 inch is the same thickness as a framed canvas.

3/4 inch - adds an additional $20 to the overall price (see prices below)

1.5 inch - adds an additional $25 to the overall price (see prices below)

2 inch - adds an additional $35 (see prices below)

5. What size of painting would you like? Please note that if two animals are included in one portrait, the price below will be increased by half the purchase price. Ex: 8 x 8 with two pets, 230 + 115 = $345 total.

6. If commissioning a still life vs a pet portrait, there is a price difference. For the first four sizes an additional $50 is charged, for the next four $100, and for the next four $200. The last four are case by case.

7. If cradled, do you want the sides left natural, painted the same color as the background, or another color? (This does not need to be decided on right now.)

8. Is there a background color that you already have in mind? (This does not need to be decided on right now.)

9. I complete most paintings within a 8 - 10 week time period. This includes getting your board, painting time, drying time (up to 2 weeks), and varnishing. This does not include shipping time. Which month would you like to start your commission?
